Sub-Saharan Africa’s abundant natural resources, rapidly expanding human capital, and plentiful sunshine sharply contrast with its slow development. If any accelerated catch-up growth threatens its biodiversity, ongoing poverty increases pressure on natural resources. Finding the right balance between economic progress and environmental protection is crucial.

Green Development and Environment Alliance (Green DEALL) builds win-win agreements between people and the planet, ensuring that low-income regions like Sub-Saharan Africa can pursue economic growth in ways that protect their vast natural and biological resources. It promotes environmental protection without losing public support or hindering growth. In short, Green DEALL is dedicated to ensuring that environmental protection and economic development support each other instead of conflicting.
We combine scientific research and project operations by harnessing technological advances and local knowledge to address urgent challenges at the intersection of conservation and development, such as human-wildlife conflicts and climate change. We help establish the necessary framework for sustainable growth through better governance of natural resources.
Tackling Human-Wildlife conflicts (HWC)
Our key steps to address HWC
Data gathering on conflict events and risk mapping are essential for predicting HWC occurrence and guiding decision-making.
Taking preventive measures, aiding victims' recovery, and restoring wildlife damages are the ways to reduce HWC.
We implement research-backed actions and are dedicated to designing and testing innovative techniques that address HWC.

Conflicts or negative interactions resulting from increasing competition for space and resources between humans and wildlife have harmful socioeconomic effects and ecological damage linked to retaliatory killing of wildlife.
Building Climate Resilience
Developing countries contribute very little to global warming but are disproportionately affected by climate change. We enhance their ability to mitigate and adapt to climate shocks, including through:
Protecting mangroves, which serve as natural flood defenses
Water supply and integrated management in arid regions
Climate-smart agriculture
Institutional and policy reforms

Collaboration
Solutions to the socio-ecological challenges of our era can only be durable or gain strong support if we involve people throughout the process.
That's why Green DEALL emphasises working with civic organisations, local communities, governments, and businesses. The sustainability of our initiatives depends on their participation and empowerment.
Integrity, creativity, and accountability are our core values. We promote ethical practices, maintain transparency, and foster innovative solutions to address both common and emerging challenges, ensuring stakeholders are involved and kept informed.
