Dr Josiane Kakeu
Founder & Director
Josiane specialises in environmental governance, climate change policy, forestry and wildlife management. She holds a PhD degree from Leeds University (UK) in forest-based carbon emissions and an Engineering degree in forestry and wildlife from Cameroon. Josiane has worked for the Cameroonian Ministry of Forestry and Wildlife, USAID, and IUCN. She has a strong interest in research and projects that embrace the immense potential of Sub-Saharan Africa and the Global South, boosting growth and preserving nature simultaneously.

Mr Narke is a Research Associate in the Laboratory of Natural Risks Research of the National Institute of Cartography (Cameroon). He specialises in geographical information systems (GIS), environmental modelling and ecological monitoring. Mr Narke has worked for the National Participatory Development Program (PNDP), GIZ, Green Orange, the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), and various protected areas in Cameroon. He is pursuing a PhD in biogeography at the University of Maroua (Cameroon).
Ms Suzie Massudom
Mapping and Data Management Officer
Ms Massudom holds a Master’s degree in Geomatic from the University of Yaounde I (Cameroon). She specialises in mapping, applied remote sensing, spatial data analyses and geographical information systems (GIS). Ms Massudom is a Census Officer for the National Institute of Statistics and has assisted local NGOs such as Global Mapping and Environment Monitoring (GMEM) in collecting and analysing geospatial data as well as mapping degraded forests in protected areas
Ms Corine Edima
Finance and Administrative Officer
Ms Edima holds a Master’s degree in accounting, financial control and auditing from the University of Yaounde-II in Cameroon. She has worked for a range of companies and organisations including the Mountain Ceramic Ltd and Uzima Chicken Ltd in Rwanda, Butrans-Cam Sarl, Memve'Ele Hydroelectric Development Project, and the National Participatory Development Program (PNDP) in Cameroon.
Mr Raoul Dokanda
Junior Research Assistant
Mr Raoul Dokanda trained as a Sociologist at the University of Yaounde I in Cameroon and carried out voluntary work at Lobeke National Park, recording complaints from the victims of wildlife attacks in surrounding villages and conducting field expeditions to assess the damage. Mr Dokanda has led focus groups with indigenous and forest communities including the Baka and Bantu groups, to discuss biodiversity protection.
Ms Brunelle Feudjio
Junior Research Assistant
Ms Feudjio holds a Master's degree in geomatics from Yaounde I University (Cameroon). She trained in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), remote sensing, mapping, and database management. Ms Feudjio has mapped human settlements in rural areas for a water supply project sponsored by the African Development Bank, and contributed to monitoring forest degradation in the coastal region of Cameroon for Global Forest Watch (GFW).
